Annual General Body Meeting for the Year 2025-26

Net Profit of  Rs.15.09  Crore – 15% Dividend Declared

The Annual General Body Meeting of  Badagabettu Credit Co-operative Society Ltd., Udupi, for the financial year 2025-26 was held on September 13 at Ajjarakadu Town Hall, Udupi, under the Chairmanship of the Society’s President, Sahakara Ratna Sri Jayakara Shetty Indrali. The meeting was inaugurated by Udupi MLA Sri Yashpal Suvarna and former Minister Sri Pramod Madhwaraj.

The Society’s General Manager, Sri Rajesh V. Sherigar, presented  the Annual Report and  Audited Financial Statements. As on the close of the financial year, the Society had 22,869 members, share capital of Rs.4.89 crore, deposits of Rs.658.80 crore, and outstanding loans of Rs.533.96 crore. During the year 2025-26, the Society recorded an annual business turnover of approximately Rs.4,089 crore and earned a net profit of Rs.15.09 crore through the cooperation and support of its members. A dividend of 15% was declared for the members.

Having previously received twice national-level awards and nine times state-level awards, The Society was also honoured with the “Sadhana Award” at the Annual General Meeting of the Dakshina Kannada District Central Co-operative Bank for its overall development and achievements during the year 2025-26. This marks the Society’s 20th consecutive district-level award.

Similarly, at the State-Level Programme of the 72nd All India Co-operative Week, the Society received the prestigious “Sahakara Manikya Award,” along with a cash prize and a 5-gram gold medal. The Society takes pride in being the first Credit Co-operative Society in Udupi District to receive this honour.

Felicitation of Achievers

During the meeting, five individuals who had achieved notable success in various fields were felicitated.

  • Ms. Sachitha Rao, a young talent who achieved international recognition in the fashion industry.
  • Ms. Spoorthi D. Shetty, the first young woman from Udupi to represent the district on the national stage of the Miss Universe India competition.
  • Vidushi Sangeetha Balachandra, who entered the Golden Book of World Records by presenting more than 200 Dasara Pada compositions continuously for over 25 hours.
  • Mrs. Suguna Pai T., who has achieved self-reliance through the production and marketing of food products.
  • Ms. Annie Lisa Amman, who has excelled in Power lifting and Bench Press competitions at the district, state, university, and South India levels.

The Society also bid farewell to Sri Govindas K. Suvarna, who retired after rendering approximately 11 years of dedicated service as a Daily Deposit Collector at Malpe Branch.

Board Members Sri Sanjeeva Kanchan, Sri L. Umanath, Sri Purushothama P. Shetty, Haji Syed Abdul Razak, Sri Vinay Kumar T.A., Sri Padmanabha K. Nayak, Sri Sadashiva Nayak, Sri Manohar S. Shetty, Sri Sadhu Salian, Smt. Jaya Shetty and Smt. Gayathri S. Bhat were present on the occasion.

Sri Naveen K., Branch Manager of the Society’s Malpe Branch, compered the felicitation programme. Assistant General Manager Sri Praveen Kumar delivered the vote of thanks.
