Grahakara Samavesha (Customer Meet) – 2026

Venue: Smt. Ammanni Ramanna Shetty
Auditorium, Udupi

Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna said that the cooperative sector holds a bright opportunity to energize the country’s future and its economic sphere, and that the Central Government has brought financial discipline into cooperative business through the separate Ministry of Cooperation.

He inaugurated the Badagabettu Credit Co-operative Society’s Customers’ Convention held at Ammanni Ramanna Shetty Auditorium on Sunday, 01-02-2026.

He stated that unity between the management, staff, and customers is essential for achievement. Even before Independence, elders established cooperative institutions and provided economic strength. In the coastal region—the birthplace of nationalized banks—the cooperative sector has remained in the forefront.

Former minister K. Jayaprakash Hegde, after receiving felicitations, said that in the cooperative movement, commitment and willpower are extremely important for an institution to survive. “There is no price for the work done in politics. Instead of seeking success, we must feel satisfied with the work we do,” he said.

Kapu MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty praised the functioning of the institution in his address.
Senior customers of the society were honoured at the event.
B. Jayakar Shetty Indrali, President of the Badagabettu Credit Co-operative Society, presided over the programme.

As part of the cultural programme, the society’s staff team presented saxophone performance, followed by a dance programme by Nupura Dance Academy, Bailur, and a musical concert by Rajesh Shanbhogue Barkur and team from P. Kalinga Rao Smriti Melodies.
